Cricket is fun, challenging at times, but basically fun. Mums, aunts, grans, older sisters; those that are new, those that have played before; cricket is open to all; ever watched family play and thought “I can do that?“.
On the back of the Womens Hundred Cricket competition last summer which was widely broadcast on television and aligned to the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Inspiring Generations strategy, Womens & Girls cricket is growing rapidly.
Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club want to be part of this journey and continue to grow our successful and well established Women & Girls section. We plan to organise some taster sessions at the cricket club environment tailored to suit females of all ages and abilities.
Not only is this initiative’s objective to grow participation in cricket but welcome people to a cricket club with excellent facilities, a vibrant social scene and inclusive culture where the club ethos is “we all wear the same badge, we are one club” We are more than just a cricket club.
