And they are expected back in ….

Head of Youth Jim Kendall and club captain James Rendell will be walking from the The MCC Lords cricket ground in London to the home of Cricket..Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club, a total of 120miles in 5 days. They will also be supported by Fergal Cummins, who’s has kindly given up his time for the week to join them on the walk. Fergal’s son plays in the Sodbury youth set up, so understands the importance of raising funds for the future of the club. They are looking to raise money for Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club development and the Trussell Trust food Bank in Yate.

The local area of Chipping Sodbury is continuing to grow in population and it is essential that the cricket club can also grow so we can offer the game of cricket to all the aspiring children who want to play the game, which is a great way to meet new friends, grow in confidence, keep fit and also maintain mental wellbeing.

Additional to that, we will donating a percentage of what we raise to go to the Trussell Trust Food Bank in Yate. We understand that the last 18 months for many families have been hard and we want to support the community and help those who have been struggling.

We will be setting off on Monday 2nd, stopping at various cricket clubs on the way and arriving back at the Home of Cricket Chipping Sodbury on Friday 6th August, just in time for the Annual Jim Kendall snr Memorial Charity match, which I hope many of you can also come and support.

If you would be able to help support the club, then any donation would be very welcome.
