Because your child will be in the Under 9s age group (these are calculated as of August 31st 2022) they can be part of our under 9s that train from 6pm on Friday evenings, starting on May 5th. For some this means that they can also continue with All Stars (they won’t have to pay twice) as All Stars runs up to age eight.
The club has reviewed the fee structure appertaining to Under 9s and has decided that the sub for a first child will be £60 rather than the full youth £120.
When this is a second child the sub will follow the 50% reduction model and be £30.
If a child is signing up to All Stars as well the Under 9 sub will be £20.
We hope that better reflects our offering to this age group. Payment requests in Spond will be altered accordingly, as will refunds for those that have paid already. Full details will be on the club website (chippingsodburycc.co.uk/costs).
There will also be a meeting for parents and guardians while the U9 training is running on May 5th.

The U9s group, as well as regular Friday training nights, is entered into various Kwik Cricket Tournaments throughout the season, the majority of which take part on Sundays. Dates will come out in the spring and everyone will get a chance to take part. These are vital for the children’s development as they allow them to put the skills learnt at training into a match scenario. All children get the opportunity to bat, bowl, and field in these matches, and they are great fun and fast paced. We will also seek additional matches midweek against other local clubs in and around South Gloucestershire.
As with many things in a volunteer led club like ours this will only be really possible if there are parents and guardians who are willing to help out. You can make a difference in many ways; with training and supporting the coaches, through organising of teams on match days, to helping with BBQs (on Fridays) and administration.
If your child is female we will be running Dynamos, which will run at a similar time to All Stars and which your daughter will be able to do as well as joining the U9s. She doesn’t have to do both, but the opportunity is there.
