There are many roles within the club, some are detailed here.


  • Develop creative and engaging social media strategies
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels
  • Create engaging multimedia content relevant to CSCC across multiple platforms without prompt
  • Develop, launch and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote CSCC organisation and brand
  • Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms as well as external stakeholders related to CSCC such us CSCC sponsors by way of endorsing and promoting their brand on a consistent basis without being prompted
  • Undertake audience research
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions within the local area and wider cricket community
  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
  • Recommend improvements to increase performance
  • Educate other club members on the use of social media to it’s optimum potential

  • Ensure as a Team Captain to fulfil all necessary duties
  • Ensure players needs are represented
  • Liaise with all other playing sections within the club as necessary
  • Promote the club at all times
  • Promote training sessions and lead by example by active participation including winter nets
  • Report any disciplinary issues
  • On match days (home matches) arrange for the clubhouse to be opened in time, working with the grounds team to ensure that the square is ready as per ECB guidelines both before and after the game
  • Be aware of, and abide by, all league requirements
  • If there is a scorer, make sure that they have completed team sheets at least 15 minutes prior to the match start
  • If there are appointed umpires make sure that they are made welcome
  • Attend selection meetings and select the team in conjunction with the Club Captain and other Team Captains
  • Promote talented juniors coming up through the club youth set up and help them to progress and integrate into senior cricket
  • Organise and attend pre-match training sessions
  • Notify the Bar Manager of match day requirements
  • Maintain discipline by maintaining CSCC ethos
